June 4, 2026: Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei declared that the country’s “malicious enemy” had been defeated, saying Iran’s armed forces and public solidarity had inflicted significant military and political damage on its adversaries. In a statement posted on social media, Khamenei said the enemy had suffered humiliation both on the battlefield and in the face of Iran’s domestic unity.
Khamenei urged Iranians to remain united, warning that opponents who failed militarily were now attempting to weaken public morale and create divisions within society. Speaking during commemorative events marking the anniversary of the death of Islamic Republic founder Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, he argued that spreading pessimism and frustration among citizens would only serve the interests of Iran’s enemies.
Referring to recent regional conflicts, Khamenei claimed Iran had delivered a “dizzying blow” to its opponents through resilience and national cohesion. He also accused Israel of using “false-flag tactics” to damage relations between Iran and neighbouring countries, while insisting that Iran and its allies were not involved in attacks reported in Oman and Turkey. According to Khamenei, the recent conflict had strengthened Iran’s unity and weakened its adversaries’ influence in the region.
