Delhi Police Launches Free Self-Defence Camp For Women: Registrations Till May 20

New Delhi: The Delhi Police has announced a free self-defence training programme for women as part of its 22nd Summer Camp 2026, aimed at enhancing personal safety and confidence.

The camp will run from May 29 to June 11, 2026, with daily sessions scheduled between 8 am and 10 am, except Sundays. The initiative is open to all women, including students, working professionals, and homemakers.

Registrations Open Till May 20

Registrations for the programme began on May 4 and will continue until May 20, 2026. Participants can sign up either:

  • Online via the official portal
  • Offline at designated centres across the city

The registration process is completely free of cost and available between 10 am and 4 pm (excluding Sundays).

Multiple Training Centres Across The City

To ensure accessibility, training centres have been set up in key locations across Delhi, including:

  • Model Town
  • West Vihar
  • Dwarka
  • Mayur Vihar Phase II

This wide coverage allows women from different parts of the capital to participate conveniently.

What The Training Includes

The programme focuses on both physical skills and awareness, offering:

  • Practical self-defence techniques
  • Sessions on women’s safety and situational awareness
  • Awareness on cyber fraud and online threats
  • Interactive activities like street plays to promote social awareness

Officials said the goal is to empower women with the skills and confidence needed to handle challenging situations effectively.
