Sunrisers Hyderabad produced another batting masterclass at home as explosive knocks from Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen propelled the side to a gigantic 255/4 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their IPL 2026 clash on Friday.

The trio once again showcased Hyderabad’s fearless batting philosophy of relentless attack, dismantling a quality RCB bowling attack on a batting-friendly surface.

Abhishek Sharma Joins Chris Gayle In Elite T20 Six-Hitting List

The biggest milestone of the evening belonged to Abhishek Sharma, who became the first Indian batter and only the second player overall after Chris Gayle to hit 40 or more sixes in multiple T20 tournaments or series.

The left-handed opener blazed his way to 56 runs off just 22 balls, bringing up yet another 20-ball half-century in a breathtaking innings filled with clean striking and fearless intent.

Abhishek immediately targeted experienced pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has enjoyed an impressive IPL season so far. The SRH opener lofted him elegantly over long-off before dispatching consecutive deliveries over square leg and deep mid-wicket.

He continued his assault against Romario Shepherd, smashing the medium pacer for towering straight sixes. Even leg-spinner Suyash Sharma was launched into the stands with minimal footwork as Abhishek dominated the powerplay.

Ishan Kishan Anchors The Carnage With Class And Precision

While Abhishek provided the early fireworks, vice-captain Ishan Kishan anchored the innings brilliantly with a polished knock of 79 runs off 44 balls.

The wicketkeeper-batter mixed elegant strokeplay with inventive shot-making, repeatedly finding gaps and punishing anything directed towards his pads.

RCB’s bowlers struggled to contain him, often drifting into his hitting arc and allowing Kishan to score freely on both sides of the wicket.

The innings further underlined Kishan’s consistency and maturity, qualities that SRH have heavily relied upon this season.

Heinrich Klaasen Destroys Josh Hazlewood In Brutal Assault

If Abhishek set the tone and Kishan controlled the innings, Heinrich Klaasen delivered the knockout punch.

The South African powerhouse hammered 51 runs off just 24 balls and once again proved why he remains one of the most feared middle-order T20 batters in franchise cricket.

Klaasen launched a brutal assault on Josh Hazlewood, taking 27 runs from the pacer’s third over — the 13th over of the innings — completely shifting momentum in Hyderabad’s favour.

Neither wide lines nor fuller deliveries worked against Klaasen, who effortlessly dismantled RCB captain Rajat Patidar’s bowling plans with his raw power and clean hitting.

Nitish Reddy Adds Final Flourish

Young all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy provided the finishing touches with an unbeaten 29 off just 12 deliveries, ensuring SRH crossed the 250-run mark comfortably.

By the end of the innings, Sunrisers Hyderabad had smashed 20 boundaries and 16 sixes, continuing their reputation as one of the most destructive batting units in IPL 2026.

The mammoth total also placed enormous pressure on RCB in what turned into another unforgettable batting display from the Orange Army.
